Enjoyed shooting my bow today

First time in years. Kinda fell in love with it again.

Few months ago, an old buddy thought he was doing me a " favor". He cant bowhunt anymore and gave me 6 XX75 2216 arrows from 30± years ago.
Just for kicks, I shot them at a target and even though they were 4" longer then what I shoot and had plastic strait plastic vanes, they grouped decent.

Just 【 something】 about shooting those old shafts felt kinda neat.
I cut them to my length, stripped and re_ fletcher them with 5" feathers with good helical and shot them today. They freaking flew like darts!.

Brought back many memories from days gone by.
If anyone here has some 2117s or 2216s laying around, I'd pay a modest amount for them.

I used to shoot the XX75 2216 for years, loved those shafts. I shot them with recurves, longbow and compound and still have some. I'll have to see how many I have yet.

Think I used all my 2217 and 2216's for different projects (non-archery) when I went to carbon.

Not too far off, I shot 2315s for years w/ 5” feathers. Those old aluminum arrows sure did penetrate!

I still shoot the 2315 out of a 20+ year old PSE. I've thought a few different times over the years of upgrading, but I'm adverse to change, and if nots broke why fix it.

Have shot my bow more in the past 4 days then the last 4 years.
Just feels satisfying hearing those big logs hit the target.
