Last fall I planted a bunch of white oak acorns and chestnuts direct seeded in their permanent location. They were starting to come up awesome it was looking like I had extremely high success rates. The oaks were a few inches tall and id say the chestnuts were 5 inches or so. We had 2 frosty mornings this week now it looks like all the oak leaves wilted and fell off and alot of the chestnuts appeared to do the same thing. Anybody have this happen? Im assuming alot will resprout or will a bunch of them just be dead?

I wouldn’t give up on them . I’m not sure, but I’d be surprised if they are dead .
