Anyone find a 350 cartridge they really like? I've been on 6 hunts with deer shot with a 350 and there has been very little, and in most cases zero, blood. Maybe there are not any great options. Great round for kids, but man do blood trails SUCK.

I’ll 2nd and 3rd bear creek. One I shot wasn’t a blood bath by any means, but easily trackable. The other one I shot went a few steps so can’t speak to the blood trail. Love the accuracy of them more than anything. I had a group touching at 100 out of a 16” AR. They seem to be less prone to misfeeds as well.

Barnes makes a pretty bad ass hollow-point for the .350 legend. Usually down in sight with solid blood, but like any small caliber there is risk/reward.

Saw some Barnes in Fleet Farm yesterday I almost bit the bullet on but I've had good luck with 180grain soft point Federals? Blood trails are decent I thought, nothing crazy but easy to follow when double lunged.

My wife shot two deer with Bear Creek 160 gr and we had zero blood. The ammo shoots great but no trail. A buddy of mine who’s an outfitter suggests to clients shooting the 350 to use Barnes Vor TX 170 gr ammo. That’s what I switched to.

Second this - blood isn’t pumping out but both deer my boy shot down in sight with easy to follow blood trails

Barnes anything is going to be amazing!! That's what I'll buy once I've shot up these Federal soft points... which may take years with the current deer heard

Answer is still the same.. haha. Haven’t tried the ftx and probably never will. I’m sure they’re fine. Will freely admit maybe I’m just lazy and if my guns shoot it well and I like the performance I’m not gonna change much. I’m sure a lot of people have seen more but if I were to guess I’ve seen 50-60 deer whacked with .350’s.. lots of different ammo but Barnes .350 ammo is what I’d choose. Mainly due to penetration/performance at weird angles. I know a bunch of people who aren’t even straight wall restricted whose kids are using it all over the country. Have seen plenty of other rounds work great, especially on broadside shots but have seen the Barnes rounds go through a lot more bone/etc. never expected a .350 to be as good as it is.
