I am interested in trapping next year

http://kaatzbros.com/ I agree with starting with dp's and don't plan on making ANY money the first year. You'll be lucky to get out of the red the first year after buying traps, gas and just trying to get everything figured out. But it's a lot of fun, good luck!

    Collecting NWSG seed?

I picked some by hand a few years ago. Very time consuming. Frost seeded it by hand and had pretty good luck. I know the local conservation uses an old combine with a bean head to harvest large areas and then run it through a cleaner of some sort. We seeded 160 acres a couple years ago and...

    ? On hauling a tractor

Just hauled a 4020 back from Geen bay a couple months ago. I borrowed a freinds 25' gooseneck with dual axles rated for 25k. I have an 18' rated for 7k and I know it wouldn't have done it. Maybe a few miles if I had to but it wouldn't be good for the trailer or legal. Also might be a good idea...

    New York = Gun Control

And all the hype the antis and politicians are making about gun control is just skyrocketing gun and ammo sales. Maybe they should be looking at putting more money in our schools and mental health where the problem lays, instead of always cutting funding.

    Pole Buildings?????

I would recommend looking at putting attic trusses in over the living quarters area. It adds a lot of square ft for not a lot of money. We did that in our building and it worked out great. Living quarters up top and heated shop down below.

    Need opinions! mad as heck!

I would talk to both farmers and explain to them that there was not any problems when you were the only one there. Then I would think it would be an easy decision for them on what to do.

    A Teaser :)

Thats how I ate most of my morels this year, only fried them once. I cook the morels and some onions in butter for a few minutes, add a little ham, and cover with egg. Cook them up and throw some cheese on it at the end.

    Food plots and CRP program

That makes no sense. They are worried about nesting but won't let you plant excellent brooding area for chicks? I jump the pheasant and quail out of the clover all the time in the summer, and there aren't many around. They are in there feeding. What kind of program are you looking at?

    Food plots and CRP program

If you are putting in new crp, be sure to put in fire breaks for burning, they can double as your clover plots and not count against your % of food plots.

Need some help! Options after hay...

A good hayfield should make great food plot, if it already has clover and alfalfa in it. You should have some regrowth after the last cutting of hay that the deer will graze.

    Soybeans

I have 2 acres that look just like that, they are mostly eating the bfo and standing corn. Not touching my beans at all.
