    IW 2026 Poll Results

I’ve been told you just have to make sure not to undercook it because it can carry trichinosis.

    IW 2026 Poll Results

Yep, Doesn’t get any easier than saving up to buy a farm, manage it for deer, plant a plot, spray it, in some cases fence it off, put a blind up and then just shoot any deer you want any night you choose.

    Poll question #15: AR pistols

The issue with all of the gun regulations around hunting is that the regulations are always way behind technology. 30 years ago a muzzleloader meant one shot and probably 150 yard max range. Now it’s 300-1,000 depending on the shooter and setup. I like to think when pistols were allowed for...

    Poll question #15: AR pistols

Anti second amendment would be saying you have no right to OWN an AR pistol. This poll is whether or not that AR pistol should be allowed during a season intended for muzzleloaders. Also that same AR pistol could be used during either of the 2 gun seasons.

    Poll question #15: AR pistols

If we just made smokeless powder illegal for muzzleloader season wouldn’t that eliminate all the ar pistol issues? Or I would think eliminating scopes would level the playing field some .

Giant Deer of Iowa are rapidly becoming a past memory

It dawned on me today listening to Jace in that podcast that in 42 pages I don’t think anyone has blamed CWD for Iowa’s decline . Not that I do, but a lot of people around the country would love to put the blame on that and that’s the only thing that we haven’t disagreed on yet.

If you’re chasing top dollar coyotes , I’d probably trap them over shooting them.

    All for naught?

I can’t speak for any area other than my own but there could be twice as many wardens where I’ve seen and they’d stay busy.

Poll Question #2: Thermal Coyote hunting

Oh and to be clear I also have thermal and use it. I’m not saying it necessarily needs to go I’m just asking how can it be made safer? Unless you have a thermal monocular you have to point the gun at anything you want to identify. Thermaling just presents some different issues because they’re...

Poll Question #2: Thermal Coyote hunting

Right, but for some random guy out walking his farm checking traps to get shot because someone thought he was a coyote. I think it highlights how some of these cheaper thermals have way too poor of resolution to be lobbing rounds. I feel like there must be some sort of way to wear something...

Good to know, I always thought it was a death sentence for coyotes. I’ll keep whacking them then.
