Theisens on hwy 20. I bought a jug last year at Theisens in DeWitt for just under $50.

I spread mine in right over the snow. When the snow melts, the salt soaks into the dirt. Alot easier than digging.

I have a two stage trigger in my RRA and it is nice. I read alot of good things on there triggers and know of a couple Armalite fans that put in RRA triggers.

I planted winter rye in a strip through a timber last year and it did real well. It actualy grew faster than the stuff I had out in the open. I don't know if moisture or soil quality had anything to do with it. I was surprised.

Not going to say a whole lot yet. But I am trying to buy a farm, it's looking pretty good so far but I am nervous something could still go wrong. I'll post pics and details if everything works out.

There is someone out there that makes a lefty. It might be Superior Arms in Wappello. You could check with Les Baer also, he could probably hook you up for a small fortune.

I think if you can find something closer to home and have the same quality of hunting,then I would go for that.

Sweet gun! I have a RRA predator pursuit rifle and I love it. They are surprisingly accurate and great for yotes. What ammo are you shooting out of it?

I have the Burris fullfield II 4.5-14x42 on my AR and love it. It lets in alot of light and has held up well for me so far. I gave $279 for it a couple years ago on ebay.

3 does with the rifle for me but they were part of the 15 taken off of pharmers ground.

Chicory is the only other one I know that can be frost seeded. If they get the corn out soon enough you will be able to put in some winter rye or wheat this fall. Or see if the farmer could plant some corn for you when he does his own. You can usually get year old corn at the local feed store...

Casting dogs to chase deer is illegal. I'm sure if the dnr seen someone shoot a deer that was being chased by a dog they would right a ticket. I was talking to a guy at work today about the late doe season and all the shed bucks that get killed and the question came up on reporting them. What would you call it? By calling it a doe would really screw up the actual doe totals and its not a button buck.

8 or 9 yrs ago I shot one that was 180#. It took forever to scrape all the fat off her when I was butchering her. Seen one last year shot gun hunting that would have easily gone 200#. She looked like she was about 10 years old.

I think I would rather see the doe season in Nov, than late in Jan. Too easy to shoot shed bucks in Jan. I'm glad there isn't very many people in our area that use these seasons. I did see one truck with hunters in orange on Friday though.
