Depends on how much money you have to spend. Fred Bear use to say that as long as your arrow has a straightness factor of .006 or less you'll be fine. So I just buy the cheap carbon furys from bass pro at .006 and they kill deer for me just fine. Lets me put more money into other bow accesories...
Re: Should Iowa require plugged guns during shotgu
In the end plugs or no plugs people are going to take as many shots at a deer as they can. Say you do start using plugs, then what, can you only take one arrow into the timber? Granted that's all you usually need but I can think of four or five...

it's legal, a couple of guys in my group carry them. We've been stoped before and all they had to do was show their permits and they were fine.
[/ QUOTE ]You don't need a permit to hunt with a handgun as long as it is not concealed. You only need a permit to buy one.

If the landowner charges a hunter to be on his property then he is saying that it is "safe" for the hunter to be there. Anything that happens is the Landowners liability.

timekiller-
I can see were saskguy is coming from. When you grow up in the country and you are friends with all of your neighbors and you know their land just aswell as you know your own. You dont like someone else coming in for two weeks out of the year and telling you what to do. It's like...
You didn't have to saw the jaw bone off. once You boiled it, you could have poped it right out of the sockets. Not that it really matters, but it works pretty slick.
Since you know whos dogs they are I would try and talk to the guy atleast one more time. If he just blows you off though, then I'd get rid of the dogs myself. Nothing gets me mad like having dogs ruin a hunt. If I were you I would have ended it on 11/7.
That is PATHETIC, I've never seen that before. I can tell ya what would happen if I ever met someone like that. They'd be taking a trip behind the woodshed.
