HCH is right you can carry a hand gun during shotgun season and not have a permit to carry. I carry one every year and never have a problem.

Im with Buck10 I like to be in the stand atleast a half hour before sunrise. Sometimes an hour just to give my self time and for the woods to settle down before shooting time.

Hey Loneranger, When I harvest a deer and cant get it to the locker or processed myself in time then what i do is put a bag of ice in the chest cavity and lay it in the snow or quarter it and put it on ice and i have never had any problems.
