I wouldn't bother unless you know someone with land....AND they tell you they have deer on the land. Ive seen a couple nice ones on public land near Spirit Lake but they have always been hunkered down in cattail sloughs. Good luck.

I have about 2 dozen that I got from Walmart.I use them when I hunt public land. Don't remember what brand but they've held up well for the last 3 or 4 years. Like my Summit steps alot more though.

I've hunted minutes from Red Oak. I didn't see any big CRP fields or standing crops. Hopefully your friends land has some river front property , at least thats where they hang out from my experience. ( Nishnobotna river)There are some GOOD bucks around though. Good luck
Our whole state was on fire this past fall/winter. Made the national news daily. Just hang in there. We rebounded with alot of rain and a few days of 80's so far this summer.
Buy a pool and break out the sunscreen.
I'm going moose hunting for my 50th b'day. I still have 5 years to plan it. I still dont know where to go, Alaska or the Yukon.( If I'm going ,I might as well go for the gold.) I have almost all the money set aside already .Its pretty pricey. I should go now and save some money.
