Great Morning in the Woods

I hit the timber this morning to hang some stands, do some trimming and a little scouting and it turned out the timber was pretty lively. I wish I would have had a camera as I saw one nice buck another 120" or so and 9 does. Now the rain is here and hopefully washing my scent from the timber. 4 weeks till opener, I can't wait to get in the stand.

We planted food plots this weekend and saw a big male bobcat twice in the same spot. We have quite a few on our property (at least I think so because of all the sign) this one was a hoss and had great markings. Now that we have an idea exactly where he hangs out, we'll have some surprises for him during trapping season. I think he's worthy of a full body mount.

I was thinking last night about doing the same, you had a nice day for it. Especially with the rain. Maybe next weekend....
