I will also agree that being a teacher doesn't let you have much time to hunt. Mainly weekends only.
It is great to have a job that allows you time off during hunting season but if you hate what you are doing the other 10 months of the year you aren't going to be happy. So find a job hat...
sorry this is a little off topic but has any one used that camo restore stuff. I can't remember the exact name of it but it is supposed to restore the camo pattern of old camo by washing it with this stuff. Does it work????

where is that? And the lion tracks and activity we have seen has been on our neighbors land and ours.

The pole road goes north out of Diagonal to Creston.
I use a 12' telescoping limber. It has a 10" saw and a snipper for small limbs. Obviously I trim before the season. The limber would be a little hard to carry in with you when you hunt.
I don't know this for sure but I always thought you have to have a regular hunting license to hunt morells. Man we need to put this subject off for a few more months. I can't wait for those morells!
I remember exactly what you are talking about. There were lots of guys over there that adamantly stuck up for that outfitter. Made me sick to my stomach.
Hunting clubs are another thing I am starting to see in my area. I went to one of my stands this fall and the land I was hunting had...
Dor, ghost has lots great advise in this case. I hope One cam is right and he may very well be right. Try to hold him off as long as you can. I know that is tough to do when he wants to get out there and find him. Make sure you let him know that going too early has resulted in lots of deer...
The sneak mount I am talking about has the chin up more than a regular semi sneak mount. It has a more majestic look than a regular semi sneak. I will get some pics over thanksgiving and post them on Monday when I get back to work.
I like the semi sneak head up form from Mckinzie. I have a couple done in this pose. I will try to remember to take pics of them and let you have a look.
Last year I shot a really nice buck on Thanksgiving morning. I plan on being out again this year. I can't sit all day but I will get a good morning hunt in before dinner. I hope most of the does have been bread so the bucks will be out searching again. I am tired of seeing bucks running does...
I am in the same boat. I have 9 mountsso far and I hope I am not done yet. Here is one I got done in 2003. It is a pedistal mount and I cut down a nice big tree that had been rubbed. I put it on a base and added some switch grass, dirt and twigs to the base. I also put a shed that I think...
I love hunting in a light rain. I think deer move quite a bit in the rain as long as it isn't a down pour. It also helps knock down your scent. Get out and hunt during the rain. You won't melt
Well I am new to the whole site but the PMA was well worth the money. The ledgends threads are great. I feel I know some of the guys a little better after reading those.
Great site guys!
