Wanted to let everybody know about the 2nd annual sausage making seminar coming up, put on by Curley's Sausage Kitchen from Fairbank, IA (just NE of Waterloo) on October 24th. We have met quite a few people over the past couple of years down at the Classic and had a good turnout last year. It was moved up one weekend to avoid the pheasant opener and get a little further away from "prime time" bowhunting. Last year we had guys from all over Iowa and even some surrounding states. Its gonna be a whole day of A to Z instructions to make and smoke your own summer sausage, sticks, bologna, etc... as well as how to smoke turkeys, pork loins and many other things. We expect to have newbies as well as many veteran "sausageheads". Lots of sausage samples and a cash bar all day, with social hour afterwards. Merchandise including seasonings, casings, and equipment will be available to buy as well.
