Got lucky on Friday with a good friend of mine. Called off the morning hunt with temps around 20 and winds pushing 30 mph.....we decided to sleep in! Bounced around a few spots that afternoon without any luck. had basically called it a day by 530 and happened to find a group with 5 toms in a field out of the wind. We made our way around to the north and the stalk was on. Got to within 100 yards and pulled out the tail fan and started yelping as we made our way into the corn stubble. 1-2-3-BOOM.....dropped them both in their tracks. First double I've been a part of and it will probably be a while until we do it again!
