Thanks! Yes it is a cable snare. It was either tied to a tree or he carried the stake around until it got caught in something. I bet it was quite a show because the cable is busted. I can't believe he didn't bust his antler. I'm going to leave it on there. I think its pretty cool knowing how tough he was!
