The countdown until the bow opener has begun (for me anyways)! Time to trim up shooting lanes, check treestands for squeeks, etc....and of course practice with the bow in the backyard.
Can you imagine not having deer and deer hunting in your life? There are very few places I would rather be than in my treestand on a chilly October/November morning and hear the leaves crunch from approaching deer (usually behind me and to my right since that is the one place a right handed bowhunter can't easily draw!). Every year I save my vacation time for the last week of October and first 10 days of November. Even get 'sick' a few days in that time. Maybe I am truely SICK??? ha. This year will be especially sweet since my brother and I will be heading to Zone 5 for the gun opener. CAN'T WAIT!! Good luck this year everyone!
