That's the most truthful thing I've evr read from a hunting pro.....Jim Shockey. The old heart rate doubled tonight when I took the spotting scope to my favorite haunt for some long range scouting. From 3/4 of a mile I watched to alfalfa against the forest and wouldn't you know it, a buck that I'm sure is in the 200 class walked within 30 feet of the tree I've killed my last 2 bucks out of. I don't know what it is but big whitetails are like big walleye......they like the structure I guess. A guy hates to wish his life away but I wish the next 7 weeks away.

So very true! If you want to kill a big buck...you have to hunt where a big buck lives..

Your right Kaare seems like you pull one big buck out a prime area and one fills the spot in. Yep kinda like a honey hole in a good fishing spot
