Congrats!!. Those pictures remind me of Goose Lake by Jefferson, where I have spent some of the best and some of the most miserable days of duck hunting of my life

Shot a drake woodie similar to the one in your picture this past Sunday, and decided "what the hell", and put him in the freezer to head to the taxi. Nothing more beautiful in the duck world.

awesome photos. That is why we get up in the morning and get in mother nature. More people would understand if they experienced a morning like that.

its actually a Sony Cyber-Shot, 8 mega-pixel, with a 7X optical zoom Zeiss lense.
its old, like 8-9 years old, so that is pre-historic for electronic optics. but i only have one complaint. with sunny pix including a certial level of ultraviolet rays, there is a purple fringe attached to the subject. unfortunately that is not somthing that can be fixed with a filter. its a problem these cameras have and is notorious to Sony digital cameras.
like i said, it does ok, but id love to have a nice, new big one!!!

The Drake Wood-duck has to be one of the coolest critters out there.

I have several pictures of them on the water in small creeks. All their colors make for some good photos.

You know what's really sad....I've never been duck or goose...or pheasant hunting. And I grew up on a cranberry marsh in WI that is always covered up in ducks and geese. I should probably start in on that.

I understand how that goes, in fact, This season ill probably only pheasant hunt once or twice, and duck and/or goose hunt once or twice....
i love all of it, but it is hard to fit it in with deer hunting.......
and, not to mention, i just cant afford to do it all!!
