Activity question?

What's it looking like?

We have not been hitting it too hard and we had a report of heavy chasing but you always have that 1 person who exagerates around work. We have not witnessed any real heavy activity ourselves but the scrapes around home are getting a little attention.

Any input?

I'm up in north central IA...I went out last weekend and the only deer I saw were from my truck on the way out

we've got quite a bit of corn in the fields around this area yet though...hoping this weekend produces better results...

We are facing the same problem grummer, we are in SE iowa and there is alot of corn and still a significant amount of beans in the fields. The rain has ground everything to a halt for at least the next 2-3 days.

From what I have seen, the big boys are pretty much laid up right now resting for what is going to heat up in about a week.

Still seeing lots of does and younger bucks pestering them.

Does are still in family units.

Won't be too long now.

Beans are basically out and corn is going to start heavy when things dry up. I am anticipating a ramped up last week of Oct. based off sign/weather progression. Can't wait!
