Age on this buck

What do you guys think? I can't decide if he is a 2.5/3.5 year old or an old buck.

On Sunday night I had him come in at last light and he thrashed multiple trees and made a few scrapes around me. I thought he looked quite a bit bigger than he does in the pictures but I guess that probably was because my heart was racing.

Could be wrong but I think he's old. Neck looks big, a little bit of sway back, and that long roman nose. I've been wrong before though.

I'm going with 2.5, but he appears young to me. His body looks big, but a young kinda big to me. His legs are still longer than his chest too.

Tough call...body and chest look big, face looks young. If I were to guess I would say 3.5 yr old but I could very well be wrong.

Seems like the bodies this year are really filled out due to the great forage growing conditions. I guess I am leaning towards 2.5 Drew.

Thanks guys! I was leaning towards younger just from the pictures but when I saw him from the stand I was second guessing myself. That's one of the neat things about hunting, unless you have multiple years of history with a deer, it often is tough to really know.

Heck of a 2.5yr old IMO. Think as Brent said, foliage has them "bloated" looking this year, assuming it has to deal with the extreme amounts of summer rain this year compared to past couple. Many of the bucks on my cam this year resemble him. Combination of those things as well as the rut starting to take shape, I'd say you have a good prospect on your hands.
