Allamakee County Bow Hunt

Anyone have info on public land bowhunting in Allamakee county?
I'm thinking of applying (3 perf. points).
Will I be disappointed? Or should I look into hiring a guide?

Get yourself a sportsmans atlas and plan a scouting trip.

There is no need to hire a guide. If you want to give yourself better odds, be willing to walk farther than others and hunt during the week instead of weekends.

If your going to pay money to hunt Iowa, HUNT Iowa. That's a lot to spend to hunt on public ground.....lease something
