Starting last summer I began compiling a list that I keep in my truck during hunting season. The list has all kinds of stuff on it, the most important being emergency contact information for the spots that I hunt. I think this is a really important thing to bring up, as it can be overlooked pretty easily. I was prompted to start the list after a "near miss" on the ladder of my tree stand. Anyhow, I wanted to post some of the contents of my list in hopes that it might make some folks think:
1) 911 Address for the property I hunt
2) DNR Agent(s) for the area
3) County Sheriff's office
4) Nearest town's police/fire
5) Nearest hospital's ER number
6) Neighboring property owner's
7) Local bow shop/sporting goods numbers
8) Taxidermist number
9) Every pizza shop/grocery store in the nearest town
10) All my buddy's numbers that could possibly held drag a deer
I compiled the list and laminated it and put it in the console of my truck. If this is something you haven't done I'd really recommend sitting down for an hour and getting this made up. It's scary the information you don't know by heart!!!
