Antler deformation possible nutrient deficiency?

I have noticed the last couple years u have a couple bucks that have the same antler deformation. Some bucks every year and some bucks look fine one year and then have it the next. It basically looks like they still have velvet on the ends of some points and usually the end of their beam. And the points are often flat or not quite filled out. Anyone have an answer for this. Look close at pics to see

When Ive seen antler tips that blunt, broke off, brittle/chalky on the tips I've assumed the deer was sick or diseased etc. I had a mature buck on cam a couple years ago all fall and he was all over, seemed healthy, but his one side was brittle/chalky looking and the tips were blunted/broke down. Not sure why.

I have a shed very similar to the one you posted as well. It was found a winter after a bad EHD summer, so I assumed the buck was an EHD survivor. It was like he only rubbed around the base and brow, the rest of the tines and beam are all dried velvet and the tips are brittle/porous.

That is very much what the ends of the antlers looks like. Just seems strange to me that I’ve seen the same buck 2 years in a row have it on each antler but at different times
