"assult weapons" ban is running out of time

looks like this sucker is gonna die out. there are already morons saying crime is going to rise. not sure how that could happen, since this ban did NOTHING to curtail crime. about the only thing that this law will change, is to hopefully lower the price on after market, high cap. magazines, and hopefully get ruger to make a decent, reliable 30 round mag for the 10/22

This is a funny subject, i mean, many law enforcement petitions have stated their support of the ban, but I seriously don't see how it can stop someone who's going to commit a crime from doing it, or from there ever being a firearm or even a kitchen utensil at some point used to commit a crime. I think the best way to stop people from using the firearms irresponsibly is for people to take a greater role in educating thier kids as to why and how to use firearms, it is an essential right!
