My 10 YEAR OLD son Tyler had a interesting season to say the least. Sat and Sun we saw a few does and a couple small bucks. Since he got a doe last yr at 9 yrs old.. His goal was a good buck. On monday we went to a farm with a pond off a bean field both were getting pounded.. As the rain let up we saw 13 bucks and many does, he passed on 2 2 yr old bucks and we saw 3 more over 130 that were at 100-150 yards which he would shoot.. The next night we set up on another spot on the same farm and we saw 8 good bucks including two GIANTS, a booner 10 pt which he would not pull the trigger on at 100 yards. Then he MISSED a 160 non typical at 60 yards!!!! We were both frustrated... On thursday he said he wanted to go back to that spot....

So It thought the best cure is to right back out again! Again he passed shots on several 1.5 and 2.5 yr olds. At 6 pm a great 150 10 pt got across his shooting lane without a shot!! Then finally at 6:30pm the big nontypical was back! But he too trotted across his shooting lane.. I yelled and stopped the next buck AND HE NAILED HIM! A nice 125" 10 pt!!!! Not a bad 1st buck for a 10 year old!!

I am proud of him for not giving up!!!
