Managed to make it to the farm pond earlier this evening (the one i had made a post about whether or not to dig it out or not since its only 6 foot deep).

Caught my biggest bass to date. Don't laugh at the squinty face, was facing the sun. :way:

Put the tape to him, 23 inches and weighed 6.7 pounds

I wear size 12 boots to give you a perspective of the size of this bass

I actually didn't think it was all that big of a bass till i got him about 5 yards from the shore and he tried taking my pole in the water. Good thing the drag was set way low with 12 pound test

and up close with the sun in the face ....

I considered getting him mounted till i heard the 13.50 a inch price. He got thrown back into the pond for another day.

Water was murky and I was using a black spinner from walmart .99 cents :D

Get out there and do some fishing because October 1st is getting close!

Great fish! I have one mounted almost identical to it! Lifetime fish right there for most people in Iowa! :way:
