Well, it was a less than bountiful outing for me during first season. Glad to read most of you are having some luck.
Long story short....I missed one Monday afternoon with my bow, killed a beautiful 48" oak tree, very mature. The bird must have been about 20" from the base of the tree because when he spun around to run he clotheslined himself on my arrow, thats when my brother deflated him with a load of 6's. The birds in my area were very quiet once on the ground and not very plentiful! Bow hunting without a blind was great and very humbling.
The rest of the week added rain, wind and a sick child I needed to care for. I guess I'll wait for 4th season.
