Bad Neighbor Tips

Burn the outhouse and F the the thought of building a fence!
They have no place (intendedly built) on a hunting property.
Do that and it's a recipe for disaster for future buying progress.
Best bet is to discuss it with them, (first step).
2nd step, make that line a place deer don't wanna go.
3rd step, allow them to have their fun, and don't get stressed out

Well said bucks! When i said a fence was the only thing that’d stop a neighbor who is that bad that was just reality.. definitely not endorsing putting up an 8 foot fence. Nobody wins when we resort to building a fortress around “our deer”. Absolutely disgusting where all of this has gone to kill a glorified goat with antlers…. Worst part is the neighbor doesn’t even care if the bucks are big. I do hope the problem gets figured out tho. Disgusting people have to put up with truely bad neighbors!

I would never in a million years claim to be a good hunter but my grandpa absolutely could not believe that I was consistently killing 120-130 inch bucks every year 25 years ago.. Now I wouldn’t even admit to most people I know that I settled for something that size. Absolutely crazy how blessed we are today

Let’s put it into perspective….
It’s just a deer at the end of the day.

I don’t want to sound like a jerk, but the rate people are ripping out habitat for wildlife, I will take a crappy neighbor if they leave habitat. For example, last year my neighbors shot 4 bucks they never recovered, this year they’ve lost 2, recovered 1. So 7 deer shot in 2 years- but they just logged their timber and I envision they will have some phenomenal hunting in the future. I will never get to buy the piece as they have multiple kids now. They hunt feet from my property line and basically hunt the routes they come to my food plot on, and close to my kids swing set. The young deer are so used to us they don’t run, so what do you think the neighbors shoot?
The flip side, my other neighbor who’ve I’ve been trying to buy some to square off my piece has ripped out every piece of scrub brush around. Not an ounce of habitat on 120 acres but gets LOTs. During shotgun they drive all over their field in the truck to attempt to kick them out of mine.
I guess what I’m saying- I’d take a bad neighbor who is going to leave habitat versus a “good” neighbor who wants to destroy it.

the fence is a bad idea unless it extends way beyond where the bad neighbors can hunt. it will actually help them enabling them to hunt just near either end, the fence is a major funnel
