Ok I know its not a deer, but was able to arrow a dog(coyote) this am, I had watched a few does and fawns earlier and a couple smaller bucks out in the field. A bit later I saw movement to my left in front of me come running across the field, I didn't have time to range him, but guessed at about 50 yards, I drew back, whistled once, slowed him down, and let it rip. I could tell by the way he turned his head back that I had probably hit him a little further back. I ranged it back to my tree at 53 yards. I tracked him a couple hundred yards, and landed my first with a bow. This was my last bow hunt on this property for the year, as the landowners gun hunt it.
