Bear pics?

I realize that this is a whitetail site but the bears are pounding my baits here in northern MN and I am getting some great pics from the trail cams. If anyone is interested in seeing them I will figure out how to post a few. Let me know.

Here is a good bear but it never comes in during daylight:

I was talking about the second one. It's a 250-300 pound bear. The first one is a real bruiser and the largest I have ever got a photo of. He is probably over 400 pounds, and what silky fur. Sure would like to make a rug out of him. Head looks like it is borderline P&Y too. Third day of the season today and I have not hunted that stand yet because the wind has not been right. I don't see the pic in my post, only in yours.

don't know why it won't show up in yours, sometimes it works, sometimes it don't! excellent pics. good luck on harvesting either one! going to try bear hunting for the first time this year myself! would you like me to post any others of yours! once again excellent pics!

Okay here are a few more.

Here are a couple yearlings.

Whenever you see a pic like this you know there is more than one bear hitting a bait. THis bear looks like he's worried the dominant bear is moving in.

This is a good shot of a big bear, probably a P&Y candidate:

Here are two bears on a bait at a time, something you don't see very often:

I see a lot of other animals on the baits, fishers, coons, martens, porcupines, etc. We don't have many coons around here but the ones we have tend to run large. These three are pushing 30 pounds I bet.

Iowa1 do you ever have problems with the bears messing with the cameras? We had ours up last year up by Ely and the bears tore them apart.

I have had bears slobber on them, but never really damage them. I have also had coons mess with them and try to get them open etc.

One camera was missing the other morning but I don't think the bears got it. I'm pretty sure it was stolen and it happened in a place that I didn't really expect it. Unfortunately, if someone is going to come in to look over your bait and they think they got their picture taken, the camera is in serious trouble at that point.

Ya thats no fun especially since those cameras aren't cheap. Keep us updated with the hunt. I drew but couldn't make it up there with school and all. So i am itching for those bear hunt stories.

Those are sweet pictures. I think the next visit to Minnesota I will pack a couple of video units to see what's going on while it's dark. Those are pretty good size.
