77crews bird had some blood in the tail fan.

What is the best way to get it out with out destroying the fan?

You can also rinse the blood out with hot tap water, let dry. Then steam the feathers back to their original shape.

Steaming feathers is an old bowhunter trick to restore blood soaked arrow fletching.

wash/soak the whole fan for a few minutes in a mild solution of dish soap in the sink, then rinse

You will not believe the dirt that will also come out with the blood

Makes for a more colorfull mount

looks like a drownded rat after washing, but it will fluff back to normal if you fan it out and let dry or blow dry it back to normal:way:

You could call a taxidermist as well, stuffy would know how to get a turkey clean as he does several each year and LOVES it.
