Cabela's gift: animal exhibit

CHADRON, Neb. (AP) — Chadron State College officials are glad they decided to ask Cabela's for a taxidermy donation because the outdoor outfitter responded with an offer of 65 display pieces.

The two truckloads of taxidermy displays arrived in Chadron earlier this month, and they will provide a boost for the college's wildlife management program.

The donation included full-body mounts of animals such as moose, elk, African lion, mountain lion, caribou, grizzly bear, zebra and deer.

Professor Teresa Zimmerman says the mounts will be a fantastic visual aid for teaching anatomy and physiology.
