Canada Fishing Trip Results

Well, thanks to a certain member on this site (he knows who he is), I learned of a lake up in Ontario that has the most amazing fishing I have ever experienced. The lake itself has crazy cover! Kind of like a huge Lake Sugema with giant boulder islands and rocks and standing timber every where. The Smallmouth fishing was insane, as was the pike fishing once we figured out where to catch them. My dad and I went up and caught hundreds of fish. The average Smallmouth was probably 2-3 lbs and a lot of 4 pounders and even one 5 pounder that went 20 inches. The walleye fishing was also good. We had our limit pretty much every day and I caught four over 20 inches, including one that went 23.5 inches. The Pike fishing was good with lures with a lot of 20-28 inchers, but, once we figured out where to catch them with a big bobber and dead chub, it went from good to excellent. In one small spot, we caught about 20 pike and close to half of them were 30+ inches, including two 35 inchers and a 37 incher that I caught. The people up there were really nice and told us a lot of places to go. One fella even let us borrow his GPS for a day and mark all of his spots on our GPS, and he gave us like $50 worth of fishing lures! I'm looking forward to going again hopefully next year. Awesome trip!!!

I've heard the fishing is alright in Canada.

Congrats on the fun trip and thanks for sharing the pictures.

Reminds me of Quetico Park in southern Ontario. Must be be nice fishing those amazing waters with a motor boat and electronics. I'd love to fish those lakes NOT in a canoe.
