Cedar thicket

I have two 5-10 acre clumps of mature cedars , with no under brush at all. Was thinking about dropping some for screening , and give them something to tuck up to. Any suggestions would be appreciated

If there is nothing growing under the cedars, thin them out to leave 1 out of 3 and see if that creates an explosion of growth/browse and more cover.
