Clover plots getting tore up

My plots have been getting torn up for at least a week now. Mostly does, a few small bucks.
Just a matter of time before the big boys show up :)

Anyone else been seeing this???

My clover is still in good shape. Partly due to finally getting some rain.:) But no real deer feasting on it. Still have about 80 acres of standing corn across the road! For some reason guy does not pick it. Sure there are majority deer hanging around it!

I had a lot of good action in my clover plots in mid-to-late August...but they still had good moisture then AND the acorns hadn't started to fall. From early September to just recently, the deer were very focused on acorns...which were plentiful this year. It seems like they are now using the fields more in the past few days.

As Loneranger said...the rain last week certainly boosted the clover, so that should help them too.

My clover has been getting hammered. Pics of bucks fighting in it every night for the past 2 weeks. Never had that before.
