Here are my bow bucks I took this year both I have great footage of both before I took them and the hunt. This is my second year of video hunting. I tell you its another level in videoing your self hunting and trying to kill big deer. I set my standards down some this year just so I would make it realist to kill a couple bucks on film. I set it at 4 year old or above and 160 or better. Normally I have it set at 170 or above. The bigger one is a 15 point 175 gross and had 2 point completely broke off which would had made him a 17 point buck and another 4 or so inches broke off other points. If he wouldn't have been broken he would have gross scored over 180. I stalked this deer on the ground as he was on a hot doe. Its hard enough to kill a big buck like this any time little alone kill it off the ground. Then you put the filming part into the factor and makes it almost impossible. Long story short it took two tries and 4 hrs. but I got it done.
The other one is a Missouri bow deer that was taken off of public land. I had sever encounters with this deer and it finally came together after about 2 weeks of hunting him. Bad part was I was about 2 inches back on my shot so I let him sit over night and next morning coyotes had eaten the whole deer. Never seen anything like it. This guy had 14 total points and scored 165. Been pretty good year hope it stay this way still got couple more chances with my muzzleloader.
My partner also took a really nice 8 point that I filmed. I had spotted him that morning got a hold of him and told him he better get over here that I had a big 8 found. That I thought we could stock or at least get close to. We got all set up about 100 yards from where I seen him bed up at and I set up about 20 yards down wind of my fiend right at where the hill rolled over and hit the horns. It didn't take but 10 sec and I seen my partner eyes light up and point. I knew what that meant so I set the horns down and start videoing. It wasn't more then a couple mins and he came over the hill ridge about 50 yards from me and 30 yards from my partner. He looked over towards my partner and I hit the gunt call real quick and he started walking right at me. He got to about 20 yards from me and about 10 yards from my partner and he smoked him. Anyway great 8 point and great video. He gross scored 162.
