CRP General Sign-up dates

The new CRP general sign-up dates have been released. Sign-up is Aug. 2 - Aug 27.

I'm just finishing up a few details on my plan with the help of Dave Whittlesey, wildlife biologist with the NWTF. So hopefully by next week everything will be finalized and I can get my application submitted.

General CRP is fine for larger fields, but I would enroll everything you could in continuous CRP first. Why? Higher payments, 90% cost share as opposed to 50% cost share. It is a no bid process, as long as it meet qualifications it will be accepted anytime, no deadline.

In my area continuous pays 20-30% more per acre for 15 years plus you receive a $100 per acre bonus payment for signing up.
