I've got some new property I'm hunting this year that's got 3 or 4 large tracts of CRP. The CRP used to be beans and corn but the farmer's getting older and put it all in CRP. What's everyone's experience in the past been with hunting around CRP? This happens to be an older crop and about 6' tall in some cases with 2 strips of timer and a corn field across the fence on one side.

here in kansas crp with food a timber nearby means deer heaven. bucks love to bed in native prairie grass. try to hunt the edges between the timber and the grass.

I echo the previous post. I have observed for the last 3 months my own crp and the does and yearlings are feeding/playing in the crp and the bucks are bedding on the ridges and cruising through in a predictable pattern.
