My brother knows someone involved in the effort. They've been shooting bucks at throughout most of the summer, hoping to get them before they broke out of the bachelor groups and dispersed during the rut. The've shot a few dandy bucks in velvet.

There's a fair number of people that are refusing to cooperate and are not shooting any deer, nor are allowing anyone else on their land to kill any either. I'm afraid these folks are going to sabotage the whole effort.

Its interesting that the border of Iowa is closer to the zone than where I live...and I'm in Wisconsin.
