I used my target 2 years ago on the edge of a picked bean field. I rattled in an 8-pointer, shot just over his back, and watched him come back in to the sniff the back end of the target deer. I had removed the antlers, in order to use it as a doe. The only thing that I did wrong (besides missing) was touching the rump of the decoy with bare hands when I set it up. When that buck smelled human, he jumped and turned so hard that his feet went out, and he fell on his side. Even then, from 40-50 yards out, he wanted to come back, but just couldn't talk himself into it. A fun experience . . .
