Diamond back bikes

What bike is better a diamond back or specialized bike for mountain biking rough Terran

I've had both and can say they both make good bikes. What I would look for in a bike is the quality of the components and then I would compare apples to apples in those two brands. I still have a specialized stump jumper mountain bike I bought in college in 1990 and it is still a great bike for its age.
Both brands make bikes in the entry level through the top end, so you should be able to find what you like and can afford.

All of my down hill racing has either been on a mongoose or Pacifica. Wally world seems to have the best prices.
