Canner is cooling with the first batch right now.

Pint jars with one scoope beef bouillion, small chuck of beef fat and a jalapeno. Canner will only hold 8 pints at a time. This is going to take forever! (Two hours round trip w/ cooling)

Next batch is going to get a garlic clove and drop the pepper.

Can't wait....
 
Some friends of ours just had a baby so we took over dinner for them last Thursday night. I made a batch of vegetable deer stew using canned deer from last year and some canned morel mushrooms from last year as well. It was awesome. Canned deer is so versatile. Soups, stews or chilis, plus just warming up some in bbq sauce makes a quick sandwich!
