Duck Weed

Every year my dads 3/4 acre pond gets duck weed extremely bad. Right after the ice gets off it is fine until the weather starts warming up a bit. Is there something we can treat it with that will get rid of this stuff? It is stocked full of fish and I do not want to harm them if all possible, but this stuff is taking over our pond so bad that come mid summer we cannot fish anyways.

Anyone have this trouble? Any ideas?

Sonar AS will get them and the fish will be fine. Just a little cashy. I treated my pond last year with good results. You shooting trap this year Tyler?

We will have to look into that stuff it is already starting to form around the edges.

Yeah last I heard we were trying to get a team together, hopefully we can get another one rounded up this year.
