when hunting like in the begining of oct. where are some of the best places to set a tree stand?like around a food source or a water hole? just lookin for some info. thank you bye

Field edges are places I like to target especially for evening hunts. For morning hunts, I like to pick places in between food sources/water and bedding areas. Basically in the timber somewhere. I once had a spot I could set my watch as to when I was going to see deer. 8:10-8:30, 95% of the time there were deer that came through. Once they hit their fall patterns, that was all over with.
