Evening set-up??

BOWSTRING

New Member
What would be a good evening set-up with a bow and ground blind tonght.
I get off work at 2:30 and should be able to be set-up by 3:30 maybe a little later.
My idea was to set up near a roosting area or between 2 and hope for the best.
I got a B-mobile, Struttin jake and 2 hen dekes to work with.

Thanks for any ideas.

That sounds like a good plan to me. They will come out to get some sun and eat some time in the afternoon before going to roost. Good luck!

Sounds good. We did that Wednesday night at had a hen and gobbler come out to feed about 4:45. He wouldnt pay attention to PB and hen for an hour or more, then all of a sudden he just came in. My buddy made a great shot with his bow and although it isn't as exciting-it can work really well.

Dad just called to let me know he dropped a nice one just now...4:40PM. Never called, just put up his jake mobile and a hen on the edge of the field and sat and waited

I always sit on a field in the evenings. The birds will hit it before dark. I hate hunting near roosting areas. Seems like your in the woods until 9 oclock at night. Sucks when you have a two hour drive.
