Last evening my son and I each harvested does. Mine was a super hunt. At 6:22 I passed a 140 class 10 point. (I've seen a couple of huge bucks in the area so I am waiting & hoping) Then two 8 pts walked down wind of me at 10 yards. Neither one winded me due to Sent Loc. Then two yearlings walked slowly by. Finally a large doe (I have 3 anterless tags for my area) walked down wind at 20 yards. I whistled and released. She went 20 yards and dropped. Less than 1 minute. My new Alpine is QUIET!!!
My son's went down in the very bottom of a very steep ravine. Took us a long time to drag her out as the mud was very slick. But it was an evening we will both remember for a long time.
