Certification training for volunteer fishing instructors is scheduled near Ashland and in Kearney next week. The sessions are for adults interested in instructing in Nebraska's Youth Fishing Program.
The first session is Monday from 6:30 to 8:15 p.m. in Kiewit Lodge at Mahoney State Park near Ashland. A park entry permit is required. The second session is Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Yanney Park in Kearney.
