Looks good. I checked mine on Sunday and they are a complete wash out. I am a bit frustrated to say the least.

Looks great, it has been a great year for plots no doubt. It is weird sense of pride my wife just doesn't understand and yes, like you I am very antsy!

Great looking plot! I'll agree this is one of the better years (timely rains and cooler temps) that I've seen in a while for mine as well. Iowa deer gonna be eating good this fall!

Skully, that's the turnip, rape, and radish mix. We got the rye, oats, radish, clover, and pea mix put in last weekend.

My plots of rape and radish and clover are excellent. Rape and radish huge plants. Last year I fought dryness. Not this year. A few munches on the radish but not that much. I know I really want it being eaten late Oct, but last year the deer were into it big time already. It had to grow back a couple times. I am wondering why? Maybe they are still in the beans. a lot of beans around me this year? Or maybe a lot less deer around??

My plots are surrounded by really good beans as well, I am hoping it is left alone until middle to late October

I hope the beans are the reason but in some past yrs the deer pop in my area has been slim. Could be the case this year. I don't see the tracks crossing the roads as usual. My thinking there is that they are just hangin out in the fields.

My brassica mix looked excellent 2 weeks ago. I haven't been to my farm since. Came down tonight excited to see the progress. The wind has been taken out of my sails. I have approximately 10 acres in the brassica mix and 10 in the cereal grain mix. Both top ground and 85+ csr bottom ground. The majority of the brassicas are dying. Giving off that rotting odor you know if you've planted them before. My cereal grains were all up a couple of inches. A couple of the fields still have the peas present and some of the radishes but oats and rye gone. Any ideas. ?? Too much water. I have a neighbor with a 1000 head cattle lot. I get all the fertilizer I could ever ask for.
