food plots

I've planted some food plots this spring that were a blend of ladino clover, red clover (I think) and one other. It was Mega Bucks clover. Does anyone know what herbicide I could spray on those plots to keep the grasses and broadleaves under control?

Scotty,

Unfortunately clover is a broadleaf. I have looked long and hard for a the same chemical you are looking for. Spot spraying and mowing are my best defense.

My 2 cents

The best way I've found to maintain clover food plots is to keep mowing them. Clover seems to thrive on mowing giving it the advantage over weeds and grass. I met a guy while on jury duty last year who is working on developing round-up ready alfalfa. Maybe clover is coming down the road. Sure would make feeding whitetails easier.
