Word on the street is Savage will continue to build the Savage smokeless muzzleloader in 2012 but no SS versions announced, just the blued versions with the cheap stocks. Just to give you an idea on the demand for these guns, here are a couple of the SS guns that sold in recent days...

If you have too many Savage muzzleloaders in SS with laminate stocks, I would be interested in taking one off of your hands for the right price. :way:
 
According to Savage they are still going to produce them - just only producing what is ordered. So if you want one, contact your local dealer and have him check for supply or call and request one.

Sighted mine in yesterday. What a dream to shoot! Half the recoil of my old muzzleloader and awesome trigger. Bring on the late season bucks!

Today I was informed by Brian Herrick, Vice-President of Savage Arms, that due to the continued demand for their 10ML-II as expressed by their distributors, Savage Arms will continue 10ML-II production for 2012. This is the 12th consecutive year of production for the Savage 10ML series. As in 2011, 4140 Chrome-Moly models are being offered. There are no current plans to offer stainless. There is a price increase over 2011 of three percent. 4140 Chrome Moly carbon steel is the same material as used in Savage Arms centerfires. As the Savage 10ML-II is designed to run on clean, essentially non-corrosive smokeless powder (as precisely listed in the factory owner's manual) stainless steel is of no great benefit.[/FONT]

I do not think they are going to make SS guns anytime soon. BTW this happens to be my gun and is priced high but I think it would sell for more on Gunbroker. It is a shooter and I would keep it but I have a custom 45 Encore that shoots lights out.
