The Hunt Never Ends....
Geoff shot his buck on the morning of Sunday, November 13th. We awoke to the alarm clock at 4:30 and contemplated even going out because of the wind. Then, we decided to go out and hunt, afterall, there is only one guarntee in bow hunting, and that is that you can't shoot a big buck while you're sleeping in bed. Geoff decided to go to a treestand on top of a ridge overlooking a large cornfield. Cody (My cousin) shot his first buck out of the stand just one day before (see Cody's Buck). Geoff arrived at his stand and soon there after this big buck came in to check a scrape. Geoff realized that he forgot his release at home so he had to shoot with fingers. He made a good shot and the buck ran about 100 yards before tumbling over. He grosses 148 and nets 139. A great overall buck for Geoff. He deserved it. Congrats, and way to stick with it!
